Scouty takes the security of the items listed on our site very seriously. Because of this, we take a series of steps to verify users who wish to rent camera equipment on our platform.

This process ensures the security of both the equipment owner and the hirer by verifying the hirer’s identity, credibility, and intent to use the equipment responsibly.

How long does the process take?

We aim to respond to all new equipment hirer requests within 1-2 hours depending on how quickly all the necessary information is provided and verified. 

What are the steps involved in the process?

Hirer's must submit the following information in order to be approved for equipment hire on Scouty:
